Access control systems come in many shapes and uses.
A simple card or code entry system can be deployed in a standalone environment to restrict access to designated individuals through to systems with multiple doors, barriers and gates in more complex environments such as multi-departmental or tenanted premises.
Physical security is maintained by interfacing the access control system with electronic locks, gates and turnstiles. Access control systems in residential settings are covered by video entry systems whereby the identity of visitors can be verified before being granted access.
Control of vehicle access to secure areas can be controlled via automatic number plate reading cameras being integrated with the access control system’s rising bollards, barriers and gates. New technology has greatly improved the accuracy of the cameras and the number of failed number plate reads has significantly dropped.
